Hello! We're Josh and Hailey. We have a golden retriever named Lucky, which the Lucky Adventure Company is named after. We love to travel, whether it's camping in the PNW or flying abroad to discover new countries. Our jobs allow us to work 100% remotely and we're taking advantage of a nomadic lifestyle.
Our Goals:
It's been Josh's dream to build out a self sustaining vehicle and travel the world with it. Coming from a Jeeping background and looking to travel further, he's spent countless hours designing, sourcing systems and parts, and continuously researching build improvements that will enable our travel goals while working from the road.
Some of Hailey's aspirations include driving the entire stretch of Route 66 and visiting all of the US national parks.
We ordered the Sprinter in March of 2022 and were told we wouldn't receive it until July or August. However, at the beginning of June 2022 we learned we'd be getting it a lot earlier than expected. On Wednesday, June 15th 2022 we picked up our Mercedes 170" 4x4 Sprinter. And so the adventures began! Check out our build process here.
We are using PolarSteps as an interactive map to journal our stops and to share where we've been, what our next plans are and have photos and recommendations for those following along.
We started our 2nd year of full-time travel off leaving Marysville, Washington after completing some van upgrades and improvements. We've just completed our trek out to the Arctic Ocean and heading towards Alaska! We won't be posting spots in Year 2 until we close out the books on Year 1 with our journal entries but you can follow our red dot along the map as we make our way to Alaska. Follow along Year 2 below or check out our travels in Year 1 trip for all the places we stopped at! :)
Starting in the Southwest for the year and our first Baja experience driving the entire Baja peninsula. Our summer plans took us through the Yukon to the Arctic Ocean where we wrapped up summer exploring as much of Alaska as we could see.
Seasonal conquest around all 4 corners of the contiguous states in all 4 seasons. From summer in the PNW to fall in Vermont, we wrapped up the year in the Florida Keys and the Dry Tortugas.

What a year around the US and Baja! We've been moving so fast after coming out of Mexico that we're still logging our journal entries as we start in to Year 2. We'll get these posted as we find time.
